Bonus conversion cap: distinguish the amount converted from the balance shown
A bonus balance of 900 does not necessarily mean 900 will be converted into unrestricted funds. If a promotion states a conversion cap, the cap has to be applied to the defined bonus component. It should not be guessed from the largest figure on the account screen.
A conversion limit, a wagering requirement and a withdrawal-processing limit are different conditions. Similar-looking numbers do not make them interchangeable.

Read what the cap actually limits
The UK Gambling Commission’s consumer explanation distinguishes cash from bonus funds and stresses clear promotional restrictions. That is British guidance, not a ruling on the validity of a particular Philippine term. No current offer is being quoted here.
For the exercise, invent a promotion whose eligible bonus component is 900 units and whose stated conversion maximum is 500 units. Assume the eligibility conditions are already satisfied and that the cap applies only to that component.
Apply the invented rule once
| Field | Amount | Role |
|---|---|---|
| Eligible bonus component | 900 | Input before the cap |
| Conversion maximum | 500 | Limit in the assumed rule |
| Amount converted | min(900, 500) = 500 | Result of this rule |
| Difference | 400 | Treatment requires the remaining terms |
The 400-unit difference must not be described as automatically paid, lost or reusable. Our assumed sentence supplies only the conversion ceiling. The treatment of the remainder needs another actual term. That missing information should stay visible.

Do not cap a different component by accident
Now suppose the same fictional screen separately shows 300 units of ordinary cash. The model’s bonus-only cap does not instruct us to replace the entire 1,200-unit screen total with 500. The components have different roles.
Likewise, a maximum stake of 20 limits an action; it is not a 20-unit conversion ceiling. A deadline limits time; it is not an amount. Copy the noun and scope beside each number before building a comparison table.
What to preserve before asking about a discrepancy
Keep the dated offer wording, funds classification, qualifying status and calculation used by the operator. If the wording says “winnings,” identify whether it means gross awards, net winnings or a named balance component. Do not silently substitute one definition.
Where a restriction is unclear or disputed, the calculation is conditional, not a verdict. Ask for the precise clause and component used. The worksheet can expose a scope mismatch without claiming that a hypothetical limit is lawful, fair or applicable to an actual account.
